Practice Building with ProMedics.

A few words for new NDs from one of our Naturopathic Consultants in Ontario,
Dr. Lindsey Walker ND:

What do you believe is the single biggest challenge new graduates face in setting up their practice?  I would say the biggest challenge, is establishing an existing and loyal patient base.

What are the top 3 skills you believe new graduates need to build a growing practice in the first 36 months?  Effective communication skills and being able to network in your community are key. Having strong and clear clinic operating systems will also make life easier.

Which practitioners are doing it right, i.e. business practice, marketing, patient management?  Sharon Kelly, ND

What geographical areas in Canada offer the greatest market opportunities for new graduates?  Medium to mid-sized cities, towns and rural areas have more space to grow a business, as opposed to a large city with many ND offices.

How does ProMedics support graduates in helping them to build their practice?  We love to continue to educate for years after graduation by offering ‘Brunch & Botanical’ meetings to discuss products, protocols and case studies. We offer 10% off for a first product order as well. Our seasoned ND consultants are available to our clients via email, phone and clinical visits, focusing on making them more confident doctors. ♥
